Step 1: Open the box and lift out the costume — rider, saddle and pumpkin arrive fully assembled.
Step 2: Set the saddle on your dog's back with the rider facing forward.
Step 3: Clip the two quick-release buckles under the chest and belly — they snap in one-handed.
Step 4: Slide the straps until the saddle sits snug and level. Two fingers should fit under each strap.
Step 5: Tap the jack-o'-lantern — it glows, and your dog is officially the Headless Horseman.

The saddle is lightweight and padded, and both buckles release instantly with one squeeze if you ever need it off fast. The pumpkin's light runs on a sealed low-voltage battery — keep the battery compartment closed and away from chewers, and keep the costume away from open flames and real candles.
